But yeah that was basically my whole week- saying goodbyes. Lots of people cried, including me. I would definitely say the hardest part of missions is how everything changes all the time. At least for me. Just when you get close with a companion, everything changes. Just when you absolutely love your area, you get transferred. Just when you find a super prepared family to teach, you get moved out. Just when everything seems to be going really good, God gives you a huge trial to test your faith. It's the whole reason that missions are the most amazing and drastic growing experience. It's an amazing way for 18-25 year olds to learn how to accept Heavenly Father's will. How to get on your knees and proclaim "Thy will be done" no matter how much you want your will to happen. I have learned how to submit to the will of the Father on my mission. A mission pushes you to your knees and then picks you back up to your feet to keep going and keep working because time is too short to sit around. I love this mission not in spite of the fact that it is hard, but because of the fact that it is hard. I have changed so much and become better and that would not have happened if I didn't have a million different hard things come from every which way.
Also Keith, Leonil, and Jason all got confirmed yesterday on Sunday(: Last week was Stake Conference so they couldn't get confirmed right away, so they needed to wait a week to be able to receive the Holy Ghost. But it was worth the wait! They were beaming and holy smokes I just am so happy for them. They are so converted to this gospel. I gave a few of them neckties and they wore them to church which was cute and fun. One of them even wore his jersey under his white polo hahah. I miss all the people from Bago, but now it is time to focus my efforts on La Carlota. I know I will see more miracles to come in this new area. It may not be in the same way as I saw them in Bago, but it will be the right way in the eye of the Lord.
This past week I was also able to go on exchanges, which was a lot of fun. I was able to go with Sister Cutillas in Bago 2nd ward and she is awesome. We went finding and it was an awesome experience. Basically what finding entails is you just go out and as soon as the first person walks by you, you talk to them! And then you find a way to relate your conversation to the gospel of Jesus Christ and give them little pieces of doctrinal truth and hope it makes an impact on them. One of the people we saw sitting down, we approached and immediately started asking his name, his background, and getting to know him. He quickly let us know that he was a member of Iglesia ni Cristo and was not interested in our message. He literally said "Go find someone else to teach cause I am not your person." Hahah but I love what Sister Cutillas did. She immediately asked the question of "What is the foundation of your church?" And then he kinda stuttered and had no idea what to say. He seemed annoyed at this point and we left him with a small but powerful testimony. We testified that "The church we represent lies on the foundation of prophets and apostles. In Ephesians 2:20 it states that the church Jesus Christ built was built on that very same foundation. If you are in search for the true church, search for a church that has a living prophet and apostles that hold the authority of God." We thanked him and walked away. Who knows if that meant anything to him cause I am sure he brushed it off right away, but it made a profound impact on me. We had maybe 4 minutes to talk to this gentleman and in those 4 minutes we let him know a simple truth about the true church. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one true church because we have latter-day prophets and apostles that hold the Priesthood power of God. What a great truth we hold(: And we should not hold on to that truth! We need to share it! To everyone! Not just to people who want to hear it, but everyone, because everyone NEEDS to hear it. I love this gospel and this work because it's TRUE.
I love yall, I miss yall. I got my ecclesiastical endorsement from my Mission President, which totally weirded me out thinking about returning to BYU hahha. Time is too fastttt I dont want to think about that. He kept asking me about my plans and I was just like woah woah woah I have a lot of time left slow down hahha.
